Rules - 1:6-7

6.  If anyone wrongs you, bear it patiently.  For if you take the wrong to heart or become angry, you hurt no one but yourself & are only doing what your enemy would like for you to do, giving him the satisfaction of seeing how annoyed you are.  But if you can be patient, God will in His good time judge rightly & bring your innocence to light.

7.  Especially beware of discontentment or a spirit that is never satisfied.  It is the grace of God that allows you to have some suffering & trouble.  God bestows on you various blessings so that you do not despair in want, but then He also metes out a portion of trouble & pain lest you become proud & presumptuous in too great a joy.  No matter what misfortune strikes you, remember that because of your sins you deserve far worse.

These both are wonderful Shirlee....love them. That first one, especially, reflects the Amish spirit of forgiveness. The movie about the school children who were killed truly captured that and it was only then that I could understand how the families could truly forgive the individual who wreaked such havoc and tragedy in their community....Thanks again for sharing these....I might have to actually scout out a copy of that book so I have them all together in one place....Have a happy Wednesday!
