Cats!!!

You haven't lived until you've been woken up at 5:30 in the morning by a cat pulling a sleep study unit off your head!  I wanted to post a couple pictures of the satanic fur ball Sophie so you could see the innocent expression she can put on her face but alas, for some reason I am unable post the photos I have of her in my Webshots album ... & of course my new camera is still in the box ... lol!

I'm sure my doctor will be thrilled to no end to hear how my sleep study abruptly ended.  I went ahead & got up after Sophie pulled the unit off my head.  I mean really, what else could I do?  The thought just came to me that I could've thrown it at her but that probably wouldn't have been a smart move.  What I did do was look at her sternly & say "Bad Kitty!  No food for you today!"  But she will act all sweet & loving & get food anyway.  Sigh!

Headed to Lexington this morning to drop off the sleep study unit, then stopped off at the cross stitch store (of course) to get some fabric I needed to have right now even though I've got plenty of other fabrics for other projects I can do.  I also bought a few JABCo buttons.  That's Just Another Button Company buttons for those of you who are not "in the know"   : )   A lot of cross stitch designers use them in their designs.  The ones I bought this morning are for some design ideas I have.  I won't mention the ones I sent away for yesterday ... from two different online sources!  There must be some kind of therapy group for people who can't stop buying cross stitch things ... but I wouldn't want to join it if there was   : )

I also wanted to ... & did ... stop off at a little hole in the wall craft shop on the way home.  Have you ever passed by a shop of some kind & thought there couldn't possibly be anything inside that you would want?  That is the impression you get when you see this shop ... but when you walk in the door, hold on to your wallet!  Lots of both country stuff & prims.  I went there a couple weeks ago hoping to find some giftable goodies made by the person I consider to be their premier crafter & I did find some, but not many.  When I checked out I was given a flyer advertising their Christmas Open House this weekend.  Well, I am not a "crowds" person & thus my reason for stopping today.  Of course by doing so I got the jump on all the Open House visitors   : )   The premier crafter sadly did not have much available for the Open House.  I was told she did a craft show last weekend & nearly sold out which is no surprise to me.  I was assured she would be making more things for the shop in the next week or two.  Meanwhile I did find a few things she brought in which I had to have ... & lo & behold, there is a new crafter at the shop & she does some pretty nice stuff as well!  I brought home a box full of things but I'm not going to post any photos because some of them are going to be gifts & some might be included in a giveaway idea I have   : )   The box I was given held maple toddy candles & my goodness does it smell nice!  I'm not a maple person at all but I'm enjoying the leftover scent in this box that I catch a whiff of every time I walk by it   : )

It is a lovely day here today ... gray & cloudy & drizzly & cool.  My plan is to do a little dance, make a little love, & maybe get down tonight.  No ... what I will do is probably take a nap, have something to eat, & work on my cross stitch.  Oh!  I also got the new issue of A Simple Life in the mail today so I will make time to enjoy that as well.  I hope you will do things today that you likewise enjoy   : )
