If It Isn't Cats, It's Husbands!!!

Yesterday morning it was the "cat alarm" waking me up at 5:30.  This morning  it was the "husband alarm" (snoring) waking me up at 5:00.  I hope this isn't a trend!  I do, however, love to get up early in the morning.  Always have.  I love the peace & quiet of the early morning & the fact that I can get a jump on my day & presumably get a lot of things accomplished   : )

Speaking of accomplishing things, today I am bound & determined to accomplish two things I have been putting off for a few weeks now.  First & foremost, I need to sort through my medical  receipts for the past month or so, so I can submit them to the insurance companies for reimbursement.  Between the doctor visits, the tests, & the medications, this promises to take up most of the day.  The second thing ... which I've already done (!!!) ... is open the box with my camera in it.  Not only did I open the box it was shipped in ...  I opened the camera box itself & took a peek inside!  If I'm lucky, I may actually take a look at all the little booklets in there & take out the camera!

Last night I continued working on  my first ornament for the CS ornament challenge I've joined.  I specifically chose this ornament because I thought it would be a quick stitch.  Well, the joke is on me!  If I had taken the time to really look it over before I started it, I would've seen that stitching this one ornament is actually like stitching two because it is two-sided.  Not only that, I had to stitch one side upside-down because there is no other way to go about it!  If that hasn't exercised this old brain then nothing has!  I've had to use a different stitching technique as well!  I am on the home stretch now.  With any luck, I should be able to finish stitching it tonight & then start something new tomorrow.  I probably should literally finish some of the designs I've already stitched into ornaments & pillows & what not so I can use them as they are intended rather than just build up my pile of stitched pieces of fabric.  Maybe that will be on the agenda for tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by to visit!  I hope you all have a wonderful day & enjoy accomplishing some things as well   : )
