SAL Progress

Day 2 of working on my SAL resulted in this ...

... & here's my progress after Day 3 ...
I thought about giving myself a stitching day today but that didn't work out.  Instead I filed my new stash & went over the list of fabrics I have versus the list of fabrics I need.  That took quite a while as I had to go though every file to see which fabrics matched up with which pattern(s).  I then had the bright idea ... which I should've had to begin with ... to make note of this information on the lists.  That should help quite a lot the next time I get some fabric.

Tonight is movie night so I don't know how much stitching I'm going to get done.  It's been snowing (talcum powdering) most of the afternoon but of course there's not much in the way of accumulation.  Still, snow is snow.  Makes me want comfort food so I've got a meatloaf in the oven & we'll be having that with some mashed potatoes for dinner.  Can't wait   : )

That's what we had last night! Such a cozy, yummy meal. It has been snowing here all day. Very pretty! Glad to be inside though!

Looking good! Aren't those designs sweet? Isn't linen inventory a pain?

I have never had meatloaf, do you have a tried and tested recipe?

Nice progress on the Word Play. At first I thought December was my favorite, then I saw January, now I'm seeing February, they're all just adorable.

Always good to start a new year well organized! Love those word play samplers. I never saw a hoop like that before but it looks like it may be easier to use than a wooden one. ~Roberta

Brilliant progress Shirlee:)

I love going through my stash. Even more so since I'm stitching from my chart stash as I sometimes forget just what I have!

That must have been the day all of Blogland made meatloaf and mashed potatoes. We only have it a few times a year, but, yup, we had it this weekend! ;o) I really love your word play project....you're tempting me my friend....BTW - what kind of hoop is that? Does it hold it as taut as a locking lip hoop? I'm liking the fact that you don't have round hoop marks on your finished piece.....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
