Tea!!!

Here it is February, & leave it up to me, I am still posting about Christmas ... lol!  Of course a couple days after Christmas through last month was filled with illness so I never got around to posting this.  I think today is a good day for doing so, especially since I'm enjoying an absolutely delicious cup of tea right now   : )

I have been asked what kinds of goodies were in some of the Christmas packages my husband so lovingly gave to me.  Well, among other things, knowing how much I enjoy tea, he decided to treat me with a wonderful selection!

There are teas here from Teavana, Davids, Lupicia, Harney & Son, Stephen Smith, Elmwood Inn (a local brand), & a few miscellaneous teas.  I wish I could invite you all here for a tea party   : )

I would have to say that my favorite teas are produced by Teavana.  They have one tea ... Caramel Almond Amaretti ... that smells & tastes like a baked spice cake!  Right now I am trying their Zingiber Ginger Coconut tea which is a rooibos tea.  It's my first time having this one & it's not going to be my last!  I love coconut anything.  This is definitely one of my new favorites   : )

I also wanted to share with you a couple ornaments I sent as Christmas gifts but hadn't gotten around to posting yet.  Unfortunately, I can only remember one of them ... lol!  The other ... I have no idea what it was.  This one I gifted to Anne.
 Designer:  Prairie Schooler
Design:  Christmas Tree from
2013 JCS Christmas Ornaments magazine
Fabric:  32 ct Lambswool linen
Floss:  DMC as suggested by designer
There were also several stocking ornaments I gifted to people but I neglected to take photos prior to sending them.  Michelle did post a photo of the one I sent to her, so I will share that with you.  I finished these stockings myself!
It looks a bit different than the pattern photo below.  This is a Nikyscreations pattern simply titled Christmas Stockings.
And that's all I have to share with you today except this   : )
I am so thankful that God is my help.  He is your help too!

Awesome tea collection! We have Teavana here, but I've never tried out their teas. I'll have to now, they sound delicious! And those are beautiful stitching pieces you gifted, especially the stocking. Amazing finishing!

Wow! That is such a selection of teas! Love the gifts that you stitched - they are so beautiful - naturally as you are such a gifted stitcher.

WOW!! THAT is a lot of tea my friend! Good for you. However did John accumulate such massive quantities of tea without your knowledge?!

WOW! That's a fantastic gift, Shirlee. I am a devoted coffee lover, but I do enjoy Chai tea every now and then. My mom swears by a cup of tea every night before going to bed, and I have to admit Sleepytime Tea (Celestial?) does help me fall asleep. My only problem is that I wake up OFTEN, and it's nearly impossible for me to fall back asleep. I love that Prairie Schooler ornament you made - the stocking by Nikyscreations are great, too!

Holy Tea Bags!! Exactly how long will that stash last you??? LOL....I don't think I've ever seen so much tea in one place. Glad to see you're back to/still in the stitching groove.... I feel rotten though as your post reminds me that I did not post the wonderful stocking ornie you gifted me with. It is still up and proudly and lovingly displayed.... Unfortunately, Christmas just happened without me this year.... BUT, I have made progress with your little giftie.... Hopefully, it won't be Christmas in July for you from me.... Hope all is well with you.... I miss you. Hugs ~ Robin

How are you getting on with Snow Angel? I almost have a finished house and I have a dog! I may I have to change the colour for the snow etc as I don't think it's going to show up very well.

Wow, that's a lot of tea! I'm not a big tea drinker (except for iced tea in the summer, lol) so that would last me a long, long time.

Beautiful finishes and so wonderful that you gifted them!

I'm not a tea drinker but my Mum and my brother are. They have one cupboard in their kitchen dedicated just to tea! And it is a small kitchen too.

I love your changes to the stocking ornie, the fabric looks much neater and finished than the charted version. More my taste anyway!

Wow, crazy but this past week I was on a mission trying to get my hands on the Harney & Son Hot Cinnamon Spiced Tea (I see it pictured i your post). Yum. They have a shop in Soho where my DS will be this week sooooo, he has a bit of shopping to do with my long list!
So many lovely gifts from your DH.

Love the PS and stocking ornament you stitched...nicely done.

Oh, what an amazing selection of teas. You could certainly throw a fabulous tea party that would last for days with all the fun sampling that could be done.

I hope that the teas I sent you will delight you also! I have heard they are good (Not a tea or coffee drinker myself). Your husband is a keeper for sure! Good job John!
