I Wish ...

You know what I've been wishing lately?  I've been wishing that everyone with a stitching blog would have a Wish List available.
A separate Wish List page would be ideal ... accessed by clicking a tab at the top of your blog or by clicking a link on your sidebar.  However, even a little mini Wish List visible on your sidebar would be a good thing.  Naturally you would need to keep your Wish List up to date.

I know what you're thinking.  "The Easily Influenced Stitcher doesn't have a Wish List!" Well, I'm going to be working on one & I am extending an invitation to you to do the same!  I think I will even offer a prize here! If you currently have an up-to-date Wish List on your stitching blog, or if you create one now like I will be doing, make a comment on this post.  I'll throw all the comments into a hat, draw out the name of someone, & that person will win a fabulous prize!  I don't know what that prize will be yet (this thought just came to me as I'm writing this post) but I will make it worth your while   : )

The deadline for updating your current Wish List or adding a new one to your blog will be Sunday, March 30th, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.  I will draw a name out of the hat (Rubbermaid container actually ... things are always high class here in The Devil's Playground) on March 31st & announce the winner that day   : )

NOTE:  This invitation is only open to all my current followers as of the date & time of this post.  Do not publicize this invitation on your blog ... not in a post nor on your sidebar.  I am not looking to grow my "fan base" by giving something away.  I never have & I never will.

I hope you have fun making your Wish List ... & good luck in the drawing   : )

I already have a wish list, it's available at 123stitch, as it is stated on my profile :)

Well! You have given me something to think about. To tell you the truth, I always felt presumptuous doing a wish list. It truly never occurred to me that anyone has ever looked for one from me.

I can honestly say there is nothing I'm wishing for in my life, except health and happiness for my family. Xxx

I have a wish list at the end of my blog but like your idea of a separate tab. I a going to do it! It will be so much easier to add links and photos! Thanks for sharing the tip.

What a lovely idea! Another way to enable other stitchers, by showing off our wish lists. I love reading through WIP and finished projects tabs and would enjoy wish lists too. I'm off to put mine together right now.

I must admit I'd thought of adding a wish list tab to my page but I didn't because it looked like too much trouble lol
That's some pretty powerful incentive from you and a very generous act!
Well, we ought to learn something new everyday :-)
Thank you!

What an excellent idea, sadly not a follower though I have commented a few times. Am going to make one right now though not eligible for your draw. Thank you for the reminder!

Oh I agree. It would be so much easier to do a little something special if we could just browse wish lists. I keep one on my sidebar and do keep it updated. Hopefully we can encourage others to do the same.

Sounds like fun! I don't have a wish list on my blog but I do have one on the SewandSo website (the main online shop in the UK). That means on my Birthday my hubby and son can look at it and choose a surprise present that I know I will like :-)
I'll transfer the contents of that onto my blog side bar tomorrow and let you know when I've done it.

What a good idea. I think I had one once, then I think I let it go..silly right. Especially as I cant remember what I want when people ask me...yes, I am that blond but I am going to keep blaming the chemo brain for another five years and then I will let senility into the equation lol

It could be fun... Does 'more time in the day' count? Only 95 more to read while I have been sick but working! Ugh! I may be back about this Wish List tho... Hugs!

I have had a wish list on my blog for a while now and I keep it up to date best I can. I also have one on Pinterest. Glad you are going to do one as well :)

I like your Wish List idea, Shirlee! Now I just need to figure out how I go about making one with the little tab on my blog like you've done. Great idea!
Right now I'm wishing we didn't lose an hour last night, to be honest. My body gets all thrown "out of whack" when we need to adjust the clocks. LOL
Hope you have a wonderful day and have fun adding more goodies to your list! (No silks? Or is it only for charts?) ;-)

I meant to tell you Thursday that I added a "Wishes" page to my blog too. I went with the questions you asked me in December and added a few others too. Great idea!
