Flat Phoebe - Adventures in Lexington

Lexington is our closest "big city" & yesterday we did some shopping there.  Our first stop was at a grocery store called Whole Foods. Flat Phoebe was so excited when we entered the store & she saw Koko the monkey waving hello to her!  We asked Koko if we could take Flat Phoebe's picture with him & he very kindly said yes   : )

Flat Phoebe was surprised to see so many yummy cookies for sale.
We told her she could have one cookie as a special treat & she picked the bunny cookie.
As we were walking toward the checkout counter, we passed a display of Easter gifts.
Flat Phoebe is hoping that the Easter bunny will bring her a basket like this!
After we finished shopping at Whole Foods, we went to Target where we discovered that both Flat Phoebe & I love candy!  Here she is showing me that her favorite candy is Twizzlers Bites.
Flat Phoebe had a lot of fun in Target looking at all the toys.  Here she is pretending to be a Disney princess!  She thinks that she looks a lot like the princess in the purple dress because they both have yellow hair   : )
Flat Phoebe especially liked playing with Butterscotch the pony.  She is hoping to have a Butterscotch of her own one day.
When we finished shopping at Target, we had a special surprise planned for Flat Phoebe. We took her to Half-Price Books for story time!  She was the first one to arrive.
Unfortunately, at this point my camera stopped working   : (   I can tell you, however, that Flat Phoebe had a very fun time sitting with the other children listening to the story lady read to them.  Can you guess the name of the book that the story lady read?  It's a story about a little boy named Flat Stanley!  Flat Phoebe enjoyed the story very much   : )

The little pony in the toy aisle was just the right size for flat Phoebe, looks like she had a fun day out.

I'm really enjoying Flat Phoebe's adventures with you.

I do have to say though, she is much more like a real girl than that caricature of a Disney Princess! Whatever is going on with Disney these days? Their heroines look more and more bizarre every time I see one!

It sure looks like Flat Phoebe is not the only one having fun!! Flat Stanley looks like he'd be the perfect playmate for her.
