Two Boxes Full!

Good morning on this sun-shiny, sky-bluey, green-grassy, flower-bloomy, bird-singy, & (sadly for me) warm spring day!  The afternoon temp is predicted to be 75 degrees.  I wonder if John will agree to turn on the air conditioning?

Remember the box that my Needlework System 4 was packaged in?  Look who decided to make it her own!  Isn't she cute???

Please try not to notice the dust & whatever other debris that shows up so frightfully there on the floor.  I haven't had much time to keep up with the housecleaning with Flat Phoebe here.

What's that Flat Phoebe?
It was like this when you got here?  Yeah, you're probably right   : )

The second box I'm going to share with you is this one!
John went to the Half-Price Book Store on Thursday & noticed this box full of cross stitch magazines for $10.00!  Sweetie that he is, he thought of me & brought it home   : ) And as if $10.00 wasn't a great price to begin with, he had a 15% off coupon so it actually cost him $8.50!  I finally had a moment this morning to open the box & take a look at what was inside.  I found 73 cross stitch magazines in there!
The oldest one is from 1987, the most recent 2007, & I'd say 98% of them are like brand new!  What a lucky find, eh?  I'm going to have fun looking through them   : )

John & I have been keeping quite busy, not only playing with Flat Phoebe but getting the house ready to list for sale again.  We are planning to list on May 1st.  I'm not too thrilled with how we're going about this. Rather than carefully packing things into boxes ready to be moved, we are instead sort of throwing them into boxes willy-nilly just to get them off the floor & off the top of other boxes.  It's nice to see the clutter disappearing, but not nice knowing that most of the boxes will have to be unpacked & repacked again.  That's okay though ... I can deal with it   : )

I wish you all a happy, joy-filled day!

Whoo Hoo! You have a date picked for the house sale. That is fantastic! Yes, Sophie is cute. :) What a fabulous deal on those magazines. I miss our Salvation Army that closed last year. They had Cross Stitch magazines once in while. I never came across Stoney Creek ones.

Have fun going through all those old magazines, Shirlee--you just never know what treasures you'll find! Maybe Phoebe can help you :)

Good luck with the house sale--things have REALLY picked up around here. The house across from me sold in two days for above asking price (and here we were laughing at the high price we thought they had put on it!!)... Hope the perfect buyer comes along soon!

What a great find for your husband to bring home to you! I had to laugh at you wanting the A/C on at 76 - we're in the mid 90s here and haven't turned ours on yet. We usually turn in on when it hits 103 or so - just goes to show you how acclimated we all our to our climates! Enjoy your weekend!

What a great find! How sweet of John to buy them for you too.

If you pay the air fare I'll come help you unpack and sort. I'd better bring The Large Boy too, he's much better at throwing out things than I am!

I love the way cats do that - so cute! How lucky are you with that box of magazines? 75 for $8.50 - John is a bargain hunter extraordinaire! Good luck with the house listing.

73 Cross stitch magazines...Yahoo! That should keep you busy for a while.
I can't find the original post on Phoebe, are you doing that for a special little girl? I was sent a Flat Stanley once and had to document his stay. Looks like Phoebe has been with you a while. You are keeping her VERY busy!

Guess what -- it's snowing here right now! Unbelievable that we had a perfect, warm spring day on Saturday and now everything is white. Great magazine find! I was going through a few old stitcher magazines the other day and found several pages in each that had a big square cut of the center. I discovered that these were hand-me-downs from my mother-in-law! So frustrating!

John really hit a great sale with all those magazines. Have fun perusing them. Although with how busy you are decluttering, you may have to wait awhile. Praying for the right buyer!
