A Stitching Gift for Michelle

My friend Michelle celebrated her birthday this past week & received the little stitched item I made for her so I can now share a photo of it with you   : )

This little cupboard tuck is made from a freebie pattern offered by Plum Street Samplers.  You will find it & others if you click on the link.  Last month when I posted about stitching & finishing a few items I indicated that for one of them I used some "mystery stuffing."  This is the one I was referring to.  I stuffed it with dried lavender!  I love lavender & decided to give it a try & I really like the effect it produces!  The tuck smelled heavenly for a while but unfortunately the fragrance faded all too quickly even though the lavender I purchased was described as being "potent" & "long lasting."

I have not stitched for a week now because of taking our trip & then recovering from it upon our return.  I have felt very lost not being able to stitch & am hoping to get back to it sometime today   : )

What a sweet gift, Shirlee! Thanks for the enabling. I just went over to Plum Street Samplers and printed off
about 10 patterns. LOL! Like I'll be stitching them soon or something??? :)

Very nice Shirlee. Thanks for the link to the chart. Lavendar is heavenly! I use Linen Spray to refresh, or a few drops of essential oil on the backing. Regardless, the gift is perfect!

I loved it Shirlee and honestly it still smells wonderful. Im wondering if the central heating is bringing out the smell of the lavender. I love it my friend x

You made a lovely gift! I'm sure that your friend Michele was very happy with it. Maybe you were used to the fragrance and hence had the idea it went off?
