Just a short post this morning. Yesterday I started packing some things into moving boxes for my excruciatingly long desired & still hopeful move far, far, far away from The Devil's Playground. Will it happen this year? That's up to God of course, but I really hope the two of us are on the same page about this : ) I also started putting other things into Goodwill boxes or sales boxes. I will be continuing to do this today but wanted to do this short post first.
First off, per my invitation on Thursday I have added a Wish List page. I have also republished my For Sale or Trade page. You will find the links for these pages underneath my header photo. The Wish List is a bit lacking, I'm afraid. The reason for this is that if I see something I want, I usually buy it right away. I added a few "likes" to the page, however, & will update things as changes occur.
Also, I've been noticing that a lot of stitchers have been posting about quilting on their blogs recently. I thought those of you who have been doing this might enjoy seeing a blog post I did in my early blogging days (June 2011) about quilts I've made. You can access it by clicking this sentence.
I wish you a wonderful & blessed weekend!

Oh wow! I knew you quilted, but had no idea you were so talented with so much experience. Great! Love the Friendship Star. Did you finish it?
What a gorgeous quilt you showcased today, Shirlee!

Someday I will make a quilt. Maybe. I hope. Someday.
:)
Your quilt is gorgeous!!
Beautiful quilt xx
Shirlee.
We must be on the same wave length! I took your lead and added a wish list tab. So much easier to locate and to update. And, I have been doing the same thing going thru closets and drawers and boxing up things for Goodwill too. No move in my future but it sure feels good to get rid of stuff I haven't touched in years. I hope I don't get a few years out and miss something like you miss your quilt.
What a beautiful quilt! I do love them, and I know quilting is so popular right now, but I still love cross stitching the most. I have made one quilt ages ago; did all the cutting and intricate piecing, but had it quilted by a senior center quilting club.
shirlee, I love your quilt! i will be happy if mine turns out half that nice. You are one talented lady. hugs, Lecia
Beautiful quilt! I can't imagine selling all my furniture at once because furniture is one thing it takes me a long time to make a decision on what to buy. I have to go to ALL the stores. It's a big pain! Or maybe I should say *I* am a big pain when furniture shopping! :)
I'm glad you gave the link to your quilts... that was a really nice post! Love quilts but really don't like quilting myself. I like applique--well, in theory. I have not been able to get into it yet... too much other stuff to do! But do I have patterns... LOTS and LOTS of patterns (online)! Hugs!
I too knew you had quilted in the past but haven't gotten to see one of your quilts till now. Beautiful Shirlee. WOW thank you for sharing.
love Annette
What a stunning quilt! I can't wait to go over to the link and see the others!
Love that quilt!
All lovely quilts Shirlee! I can't wait to tackle my first large quilt - only done lap sized ones so far. But I have twin sized one in the works!
Have a great day!
