God grant you the light in Christmas, which is faith;
the warmth of Christmas, which is love;
the radiance of Christmas, which is purity;
the righteousness of Christmas, which is justice;
the belief in Christmas, which is truth;
& all of Christmas, which is Christ.

If you decide to click the above link, you can imagine me dancing down the street smiling & clapping & singing about happiness like the people in the video   : )   The sky this morning has been cloudy & gray & the wind has been blowing quite briskly!  I was so excited when I noticed this outside my bathroom window that I grabbed my bottle of Opium & doused myself with what little was remaining in the bottle.  Opium is my cold weather scent   : ) So here I sit, writing this post, smelling like I usually do in the wintertime, & if I close my eyes & listen to the wind I can envision blizzard-like conditions in The Devil's Playground!  Of course it's too early for a blizzard (unless I visit Dairy Queen), but The Weather Channel is telling me that for the next 10 days temps in TDP will be dropping to around the mid 70s during daylight hours & into the low to mid 50s during the nights! Can 40s/30s/20s, snow & ice be far behind???

Sweaters, sweatshirts, furry slippers, hats, scarves, mittens, hot chocolate, soups & stews, homemade bread fresh from the oven, blankets, Sophie getting warm on my lap while the furnace poofs on!  It won't e long now!!!

I'm happy!!!!!

Goods Afternoon Fall Friend,
I'm so happy I can comment on your blog.
I've been having problems with my laptop.
So I've been using my iPad.
And for some stupido reason it will not let me comment on some blogs.
I love all your beautiful Christmas stitches.
Fall is in the air..
I love anything pumpkin.

Oh Shirlee, thank you for the giggle and your excitement about all things winter. I, too, am happy for the cooler (and less humid) days. Enjoy your day!

Hahaha, I heard the wind howling outside my windows this morning and thought the EXACT opposite of you! And I surely wasn't singing along with Pharrell, lol.

I didn't even feel like summer here and now it's almost over. I feel like I've missed it and I dread that we have 5 or more months of winter.

I love Autumn too! It was very humid today in Manchester. Can't wait to dig my winter woollies out!

Oh Shirlee, sounds like the perfect day in TDP. We just came in from a week in Amish Country in Ohio and on Saturday afternoon for the Harvest Parade almost everyone had on sweaters. Still really hot during the day though. I can't wait for cold weather and snuggle days to arrive here in the South. Have a blessed day.

Love the clip, Shirlee, just cheered me up as I am about to set off for work in pouring rain! I love Winter, too. What's not to love about snuggling up nice and warm with some cross stitch, a good book or video and a kitty cat? I hope that you get snow soon, hugs, Kaye

Hi Shirlee, I just love fall. The crisp cool nights, hayrides, apple cider, mums, going to the pumpkin patch and apple orchard, apple pie, pumpkin pie, I could go on and on.
I am afraid I don't like Winter like you do, but do love the different seasons. hugs, Lecia

Lol Shirlee! It's feeling very Autumnal over night here but still warm during the day. I'm ready for Autumn and Winter but not ready for the massive heating bills it will bring lol!

Love the fall! While this summer wasn't a hot one, it was perfect for me, and now I look forward to the cool crisp days of autumn!! Don't mind the winter, either, as long as snow days fall on days when everyone is safe inside! Ready for the cozy days ahead!! Enjoy!

Oh, Shirley, I LOVE cool weather and turtleneck sweaters, toasty slippers…..the whole 9 yards. Our weather is cooling down, as well. May I join you in your Happy Dance?

You can't help but feel happy when you hear that song, can you, Shirlee? BUT, I'm not happy about this cooler weather at all--it is only 57 and gloomy here today and I hear our winter will be even worse than last year. Want to trade houses for the season??? Ha ha!
