A Yucky Doctor Appointment, A New Start, & A Big Fat Eye

John & I had a lovely day yesterday.  It was rainy & gray & overcast but not so much so that we couldn't follow through with our plans to go to Richmond, Kentucky which is about an hour from here.  We hadn't been there for quite a while.  We had planned to have our Valentines Day/wedding anniversary dinner at Red Lobster but strangely enough we both had a desire for pizza so we ended up eating at our favorite pizza place close to home   : )

I will be leaving soon for an early morning appointment with my gynecologist.  Even though I had a total hysterectomy back in 2010 my regular doctor wanted me to make this appointment.  I have dealt with her often enough to know that when she suggests something like this she has "suspicions" of one sort or another.  Hopefully they won't amount to anything.  My appointment is scheduled for 8:30.  At 9 o'clock I have an appointment for blood tests at the hospital 2 blocks away so hopefully the gyn will do what he needs to do & I will still be able to make it to the hospital in time.  After that I'm guessing I will probably have to stop by the eye doctor's office because this morning my right eye looks like it's about 8 months pregnant.  Hey ... I wonder if the gyn can help me with that???

I didn't do any stitching yesterday but on Monday I did start a new project.  Can you guess what it is???

I know, no fair ... especially since I'm using a different count of fabric in a similar but not exactly the same color & I've made a floss substitution   : )   However, if you want to venture a guess ... & you're right ... I'll send you a prize of some sort   : )

Great stitching here! Love what you did with the LHN winter sampler by making it into an ornament. This is how I stitch too , with the white plastic thingamabobs that I can't remember the name of at the moment. Your house looks beautiful . All the best with the Dr. today . Will visit again!

Pizza for Valentines Day...well that sounds perfect to me!

I had a hysterectomy years ago but still have to go every few years. I dunno why.

Oh goodness that eye description has put awful visuals in my mind. I do wish you well on that one!

Hope all reports are good! But the pregnant eye could make the medical journals.

Yikes....I hope as I read on I read that your eye is better....and that your appts went well. The older I get, the more I dread sure didn't give us a heck of a lot to go on with the new stitching project....I'm going with a sampler house thing of some sort....(Probably should have started with your newest posts and read to the oldest rather than vice versa, huh?)
