Anyone Want A Slightly Used Candle?

Since Mr. Sensitivity began to go into fits of dramatics a few months ago whenever he even sees me with a bag of tarts in my hand (the scented wax kind, not the ones the Queen of Hearts made), I no longer use them & have moved on to candles instead.  I love candles burning but the scents, no matter which type of candle I buy, are barely detectable.  The best "big business" candles I have found are by Swan Creek Candle Company.  You can actually notice the scents & I have been happy with those I've tried thus far.

About 2 weeks ago I decided to order some Christmas scents directly from Swan Creek. Unfortunately they did not have a description of the scents on their website so I just ordered 5 candles based solely on their Christmas-themed names.

I love spicy scents & some (not all) baking scents.  At this point I've tried burning 3 of these candles & it turns out they are sweet scents.  I did not burn them for very long ... maybe 15-20 minutes.  The wicks are burned but trimmed neatly & the candles themselves are clean.  I can't return them to the company based on my not liking the scents so I am offering them to anyone who might want them.

There are 3 candles & I will give one to 3 different followers.  The scents are Mistletoe Kiss, Gingerbread, & Christmas Cheer .  If you would like to have one, just comment on this post & let me know which scent you would like.  If more than one person chooses a scent, I will do the hat thing   : )   You will need to leave a comment no later than 12:01 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time) Saturday morning, October 27.

I am sorry to say that this offer is only available to my followers in the US.  The candles would be too heavy to mail overseas.  Also, this offer is only for current followers of my blog so please do not post about it on your own blog.

Best of luck to you all!

ooOoo! Shirlee, have you tried Yankee Candles? They have great scents that are not faint. I love Pumpkin Spice. I have burned that every fall for at least a dozen years. I assume Gingerbread smells like.... gingerbread! I would like to be entered for that please. Thank you very much.♥

Shirlee, I love Swans creek candles, with gingerbread being my favorite scent. Please enter me and any scent will be fine. I have started purchasing Crossroads Candles with Maple Syrup being my favorite thus far. I must warn you they are very strong scented. Mine smells great in all rooms downstairs. Have a great day

I agree with Vickie, Yankee Candles are some of the very best! I would be happy with any one of these candles.

Another good candle company, if I remember correctly, is Gold Canyon.

Hi Shirlee, I am a longtime reader of your blog but do not know how to become a follower. I would love to be entered in this contest . All of the candles are lovely, but I think Christmas Cheer sounds nice. Thanks!

Shirlee, these candles all sound so yummy, how sweet you are to giveaway. I would be happy to be entered for any of them, but if I need to choose, then Christmas Cheer.
One of my favorite brand of candle that gives off a terrific scent are Slatkin candles which I think can be found at Bath and Body Works stores and some major dept. stores. They are really awesome! Have a wonderful day!

I would love to be entered to win a candle. I burn them daily in my home. I would like the Mistletoe Kiss one, thank you so much for the chance to win.
I use Yankee Candle for many scents and love most of the Christmas/Winter scents.

Yankee does have great long lasting candles, but some do not scent the room. Sage & Citrus is the strongest for me. Bath & Body Works is my favorite. Not as long lasting but the strongest I've ever used. Salty Caramel and Hot Buttered Rum are luscious. I signed up for emails and they let me know when they are 2/$20 and then I search online coupons to get another 20% off and free shipping. PLUS, you can return if you don't like or exchange at a local store. Thank you but I don't care for sweet either. Unless it's edible.

First let me say I love your new header.
I thought that I would reading and laughing, as I often do when stopping by your blog. Instead I am posting to say...Please do add me to your candle drawing...I am such a huge fan of candles, usually Yankee or Colonial Home. I have never heard of Swan Creek but I do love candles that give off an obvious scent.

Which scent? I would be happy with any of them but Gingerbread sounds appealing. Thanks!
