I hope it's final! My husband received a letter from his doctor this morning. She said she tried to call last Friday but there was no answer. I don't know why she couldn't have left a message : ( Anyway, she said the ultrasound showed just a small amount of blockage in the right carotid & there appears to be none in the left. She indicated that she does not believe the symptoms he has been having or the blackout are related to his carotids. Of course she didn't offer any opinion regarding what they might be related to.
So ... on the one hand, happy news ... no carotid problems! On the other hand, however, we are left with the mystery of what caused all this in the first place. We are going to assume that the blackout was just an odd, one-time thing, keep a record of when/if the other symptoms recur, & go on with life.
Once again I offer my deepest thanks to all of you who expressed your concern & offered your prayers. You were kinder & more thoughtful than some people in my own family & I appreciate this very, very much.

That is wonderful news, Shirlee....so glad to hear. Yes, troublesome that you still have no concrete explanations - but such is the fabric of life at times....take joy and comfort in the fact that the "worst case scenario" has been ruled out....Hugs ~ Robin

Good to hear and yet, a little puzzling, huh? keeping him in our prayers
Okay Shirlee, I am so thankful for the great news. So... this is where we have to have faith and move forward. Give our concerns to God and let him handle it from here. Praying these symptoms never reoccur. Breathing a sigh of relief for you both.

That is great news! I know it's still a bit puzzling because you don't know what was wrong. All that can be done now is to trust and give it to God wholeheartedly. I will continue to pray.
