I am able to share another finish with you this morning ...
This design is by The Sampler Girl. I really like it since I have discovered my passion for sleds this year & I will most definitely be making one of these for myself : ) Yes, that's my beloved chenille trim you see there : ) I also used crushed walnut shells for the stuffing. I find that I really enjoy using them.
I also wanted to share a photo of a little pre-Christmas gift my sweet baboo bought me a couple weeks ago when we went to Liberty, Kentucky & I mentioned visiting a prim/gift shop (Kindred something or other) that I hadn't been to for at least a year.
I have wanted one of these old pumps "forever" but could never find a nice one. If I did find one it was either damaged or someone had painted it bright red or something. This one looks great! I wish I had a prim kitchen & could leave it by my farm sink but for now it's just sitting on the side of the counter & will probably be packed away after the holidays "for the next house." Wouldn't it be neat if you could hook this up & really use it for water!
Lastly I wanted to show you a lovely decoration which I purchased online recently ...
I'm not sure if "decoration" is the right word but I just love this! A round wooden box, primly painted, with winter fixins inside & that primly stitched little pillow! I checked my Etsy account & I didn't purchase it from there & I know it's not an eBay purchase so I'm at a loss as to where it came from! I do know the gal who made it is Jennifer Gass. I do have an email address for her so I wrote to ask where I got it from thereby revealing to yet one more person my Scarecrow brain (before he met the Wizard). I will post her sales site when she responds to me in case you want to visit & see what she has to offer : )

A lovely finish Shirlee.
I love your old pump and the box is beautiful.
Happy Christmas!
Such a cute finish, Shirlee--I do like that chenille trim you've used on it, too. Something I need to try next year...
How nice to have an old-fashioned pump from your "sweet baboo"!
Wishing you a lovely Christmas...
LOVE, LOVE your "Gone Sledding" pillow hun, and your water pump is too cute; it's in great condition. I love finding little treasures. Thank you for the sweet post on my blog this morning; it made me smile; I'd love to do a SAL w/ya; when I get mine I'll let you know; hopefully it'll be early next week; I ordered from DSL their usually pretty quick.
Hugs, Shar
Shirlee, you sure have been on a roll lately. Beautiful finish!!!

A lovely finish - stuffed walnut shells how wonderful.
I love your pump what a cherished gift xx
Oh Shirlee - You know this is my absolute favorite finish of all. I LOVE and treasure this more than you can possibly know.... ;o) You did an amazing job on it....I just adore the little chenille trim on it. What a incredible gift.....
And crushed walnut shells??? Really? Where do you find those??
Love your pump....There is something about their lines that just draws me to them....It looks great just sitting on your counter like that. But I can imagine what my hubby would say if we had something "just sitting" on our limited counter top that served no purpose. :o
And that box and the pinkeep is also very sweet. Before you even mentioned her name, I knew it was one of Jen's pieces. She has a blog and selling blog and a website. I think she had them on her selling blog a while ago. The link is: http://simplegoodesstitchedbyjennifer.blogspot.com/
Happiest of Days Before the Day Before my sweet friend.....Smiles & Big Gone Sledding Hugs ~ Robin
Hi Shirlee, the Gone Sledding ornie is gorgeous. Where do you get crushed walnut shells or do you crush your own. When I was a child I always knew it was Christmas because when my mother put out a big bowl of nuts in their shells - brazil nuts, walnuts, almonds, etc and the nutcracker. We used to love cracking the nuts - nobody seems to do that anymore.
Love your pump and your mystery ornament, too.
Merry Christmas, Kayexoxox
P.S. So excited about your giveaway. I have my fingers and toes crossed!

Everything is lovely and so prim..
Merry Christmas...
Love your 'Gone Sledding' pillow and the finishing is just gorgeous.
The pump is a great find and as you say to find it still looking as it should be is a real plus.
Love the idea of a little cross stitch pillow hidden inside that prim little box ~ very cute!
HAPPY CHRISTMAS SHIRLEE xxx
Hey Shirlee. I've been missing A LOT! I just realized you are one of the blogs that has been dropped by my reader and I just happened to find you from another site! I need to catch up! Your finishing job on that darling Gone Sledding is as good as it gets. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
